Welding rod ovens, also known as electrode stabilization ovens and electrode holding ovens, help ensure high-quality welds by preventing welding rods and electrodes from absorbing moisture from the atmosphere. This helps protect the weld from contamination and prevent weld defects such as cracking and porosity.
The purpose of the rod oven is to keep moisture out of the electrode covering to prevent weld cracking due to hydrogen being introduced to the weld from the moisture. For E7018 & other low hydrogen electrodes to be effective they should be stored in ovens @200F or more once the sealed box is opened.,
Portable Welding Electrode Drying Oven
We Standard Model of Portable Welding Electrode Drying Oven which is also called Quiver ovens. Portable Electrode Ovens means a oven which is Used to Carry different locations for Drying Welding Electrodes. It is used to preheat the electrode after opening it from box. Like low hydrogen electrode it required 250-300 Deg C for re baking atleast for 1 hour before it use. Temperature and heating time may vary from electrode to electrode.
